Well done to Tiarna, Year 13, who does a fantastic job in running our girls football teams. Tiarna has worked really hard coaching alongside Brickfield Rangers Football club on a Wednesday and then running her own coaching sessions here on a Monday. On Wednesday night this week, Tiarna took the girls to Airbus for a Girls Football event. The girls lost their first and drew in their last game. Tiarna said that she knew the girls were upset not to have won but that she was so proud of the improvement they showed throughout the competition.

Good luck to the twelve Year 13 students who sat Oxbridge STEP papers in school last week. We look forward to the results in due course. The majority of Year 13 students are busy with their university applications at the moment and we wish them all well in this challenging but very important process.

This morning we held our Remembrance Assembly. Well done to our readers Simon and Darcey, and to Hannah, Rhys, Hannah, Caitlin, Isaac, Rebekah and Ben for a very fitting musical item ‘The Rose’. It was a pleasure to welcome several members of our Governing Body to the assembly along with Rev. Pawley and Cllr Healey who also contributed with readings. As always, the minute of silence was impeccably observed by all. Thanks also to Ella and Rebekah for playing ‘The Last Post’.

Year 11 finished their GCSE maths exams yesterday, after four challenging papers over two weeks. Well done to all students. We look forward to excellent results when they arrive in mid January.
