Castell Alun’s Site Supervisor. Paul Muncey is taking on this year’s London Marathon this April in aid of Children with Cancer UK. Paul is a keen runner but has never before taken on the mammoth 26.2 miles of London’s annual race.
“I myself have suffered from cancer and was extremely lucky to have life-saving treatment. I’m extremely happy to be running the London Marathon in 2017 in aid of Children with Cancer UK – an amazing charity who fund life-saving research into causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer.
Running a full marathon of over 26 miles is going to be a mammoth task for me and I’m on the wrong side of 50 to take on this obscenely big run but if we can save one child’s life it will be worth all the pain, bleeding feet and blisters that I will endure throughout my training and the run itself. “
