Year 10 Students Visit Hope Medical Practice and Health Visitor Clinic

During the summer term year 10 students, studying GCSE health and social care, were able to visit the health visitor clinic at Hope Medical Practice.

They listened to the role of a health visitor and then used the weighing equipment to learn about percentile charts and measurements used on children. This was a really interactive experience for all students involved and the knowledge gained will be used in their GCSE exams.

Health and social care teacher, Mrs Williams said, “The visit was most informative with the students gaining a valuable insight into the role of a health visitor in the locality”.
