Our annual Spring Concert last night was absolutely fantastic as always.  A huge thank you to Mr. Searson, Mrs Walker, Miss Gittins and the Expressive Arts team for putting together such an impressive and diverse array of performances.  The cast of  ‘Hairspray’ gave us a preview of what I am sure is going to be another hugely successful production later this year (12th – 14th July).

We welcomed four new Governors to Castell Alun last week – Mrs Blodwen Ellis and Mr Steve Vaughan (Community Governors) and Mrs Phillipa Willaims and Mrs Sharon Bakewell (Parent Governors).  I am looking forward to working with them over the coming years as we further develop and enhance our school.

Our Year 7 and 8 students visited St. Cynfarch’s Church for our Easter services today and yesterday.  Well done to our Year 8 readers Lily Duggan, Abi Evans and Hannah Ison and the bell ringers – Charlie Jones, Ewan Roberts, Tilly Nutkins, Megan McLoed and Nia Edwards.  Our magnificent Year 7 readers were Archie Peffers and Sophie Williams and the bell ringers – Libberty Cave, Shane Rogers, Megan Davies, Ewan Venables, Amy Say and Thoran Weston Jones also gave a fine performance.  Thank you again to Rev. Pawley and his team who always make us feel so welcome.

Our Site Supervisor is running this year's London MarathonGood luck from everyone in school to our Site Supervisor, Mr. Paul Muncey, who is running the London Marathon on 23rd April in aid of Children with Cancer.  We will all be cheering him on!
