GCSE Results 2025: A photograph of some of our GCSE students receiving their exam results

Students at Castell Alun have once again delivered outstanding GCSE results. As a result, the whole school community is celebrating.

At the very top was one student who achieved 12 A* grades—earning the best result in every subject. Meanwhile, three more students each secured 11 A* grades, along with several strong A grades. In addition, another three achieved 10 A* grades and added even more top marks to their totals. Two further students earned 9 A* grades and a series of impressive A grades. Furthermore, some students still await confirmed results. Therefore, final totals may rise even higher.

“Our 2025 GCSE results at Castell Alun were very pleasing, with some truly outstanding individual performances. First and foremost, congratulations to all our students for their hard work and dedication—these results will open up exciting opportunities and choices as they move into the next chapter of their lives. We also extend our sincere thanks to parents and carers for their unwavering support and guidance, which play a vital role in helping our school thrive.

A special thank you goes to our entire staff team for their commitment and passion, and for ensuring that every student is given the chance to reach their full potential. As a proud community school, we also recognise and thank our local primary schools for the foundational role they play in our students’ educational journey. This marks the end of a highly successful academic year for Castell Alun, highlighted by an absolutely outstanding inspection report. We are now looking ahead to the start of the new academic year, beginning with Sixth Form enrolment, which will take place on Monday 1st September. It’s been a great year—and now it’s time to celebrate.”

“I think it’s fair to say that we are all exceptionally pleased with our GCSE and equivalent results this year. After a nationally turbulent few years, it’s been an anxious time for students across the country and I’m thrilled that our students’ hard work has been rewarded. They now have a clear pathway for next year, whether in education or indeed, the world of work. As a school we will welcome a really high number back to school to commence higher level studies and we wish the very best to others who have achieved places on great apprenticeship schemes or secured employment.”

Congratulations to all of our students! You’ve worked hard and earned every success. As a result, we couldn’t be prouder.
