School Update: Exam Season and Upcoming Events
Welcome to the School Blog. As we complete the first week after half term, school continues to buzz with activity, and our public examination season is now halfway through. We are pleased to report that students are arriving punctually for their exams, and levels of stress are being effectively managed by students, families, and school staff alike. If you need to discuss any issues, please feel free to call the school.
Blooming Greenhouse and CAFA Support
Although summer has not fully arrived, recent visitors to the campus will have noticed the thriving plants between the two doors in reception. Our KS3 pastoral group’s greenhouse is flourishing, thanks to the generous funding from CAFA. The students have ambitious plans for the school nursery and will soon transplant some of their seedlings into the garden area at the back of the school. We extend a great big diolch to CAFA for their support!
Lower School Production: ‘Matilda Jr’
We are excited to announce that a number of Key Stage 3 students are working hard in rehearsals for the Lower School production of Matilda Jr, set for Wednesday, 10th and Thursday, 11th July 2024. We will soon put tickets on sale, but we wanted to give you a heads-up that the show is perfect for ‘Revolting Children’ and adults alike!
CAFA’s Grand Summer Raffle
We would like to highlight CAFA’s Grand Summer Raffle and ask for your support. If you own a business or work for a company, you might consider donating a prize. Individuals are also welcome to contribute, whether with a large or small prize. Every donation is greatly appreciated. Please email CAFA at cafa@castellalun.com to arrange donations. You can also drop off any prizes at school reception by the end of the day on 14th June. The raffle will take place on 12th July. Diolch yn fawr for your support!
Year 8 Parents’ Evening
We are very grateful to the parents and guardians of Year 8 students who attended Parents’ Evening yesterday. We recognise the importance of strong partnerships between staff and home to ensure the best outcomes for our students. It was wonderful to connect with so many of you, and we are fortunate to have such supportive families.
Thank you for reading our blog. Please continue to share any student successes outside of school with us. We look forward to providing more updates next week!
See you back here soon for the next School Blog!
