Dear Parent / Carer,

You may be aware that the NEU (National Education Union) have declared national strike action, which will take place on the following dates:

Wednesday, 1st February
Tuesday, 14th February
Wednesday, 15th March
Thursday, 16th March

The strike is a result of a national dispute between the unions and the government over pay, funding of schools and workload and not because of any issues at our school.
I’m getting in touch to give you as much notice as possible that learning may be disrupted on the dates listed. We’re currently awaiting county advice and information from the unions. I will let you know as soon as possible what the arrangements will be.

In the interim, I would ask that you be mindful of the above dates and consider alternative childcare arrangements should school closure become a necessity.

I’m sorry about the potential disruption to you and to your child’s education. I understand that this situation may be frustrating and will contact you again as more information is made available.
