Friday 15th June 2018

It was lovely to welcome back our Year 12 students this week, and well done to all for the work you have put into your Welsh Baccalaureate qualification. I know a lot of progress has been made. Normal curriculum beings again for Year 12 next week.

External examinations draw to a close over the next few days and we are hopeful for good results in the summer. Year 10 students will undertake English examination presentations over the course of next week. Good luck to everyone.

Cian, a Year 9 student, is having the vast majority of his hair shaved off for charity this week and a group of students from Years 9 and 10 will also walk up and down Moel Fammau twice for good causes in the near future. Thanks to everyone who gives of their own time and energies to support the crucial work of charities across the whole school.

Well done to Lily, a Year 10 student, who has recently been selected to represent North Wales DTC squad in netball. Congratulations also to Kim, a Year 9 student, who is taking part in the Dance World Cup in Spain at the end of June.

As I have previously mentioned, our Castell Alun Friends Association will hold a Fashion and Fizz evening in the school hall on Friday 22nd June. Please take a quick look at our website for further details, and thank you to everybody who has already purchased a ticket. There are still tickets available so please come along if you are able.

Have a lovely weekend.
