Well done to Alice of Year 7 who has just been awarded Player of the Season for Borras Park Albion Girls’ Under 12 Team.

On the 22nd June, 8 Year 12 SEREN students visited Oxford University. The purpose was to meet Daniel Pugh-Bevan at St Peters College to have a talk about university life and Oxford University in general. Daniel is the Schools Liaison Officer.
Our students were given a tour of St Peters and were able to see what happens to students when they have finished their exams as they were trashed by their fellow students. Luke Ralphs-Davies an ex student of Castell Alun met and showed them around University College Oxford. Luke is studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
After a guided tour the students visited various other landmarks in Oxford such as the Magdalen bridge and Bodleian Library and other colleges.
Congratulations Year 9 students, Joshua Berdouk, Toby Rees-Slawson, Cerys Jones, Ella Bradley, Meilir Roberts, Colin Twells, Grace Royal and Conner De Winter who took part in the Plastipak Enterprise Challenge in the Ramada Hotel on Friday, 16th June.
Students worked very well together to create a brand new plastic product and pitched their ideas to a panel of experienced business men and women in a Dragons’ Den format. The students successfully pitched their product and came second out of the 10 schools which took part.
