School Blog (22/03/24)

Welcome to the School Blog. This term has certainly raced on, and we find ourselves on the final day already! Nevertheless, we feel that the term has been highly valuable. The Easter period offers a well-earned rest for students and staff alike. We firmly believe that rest is crucial for achieving our best. We also acknowledge that some students will need to work during the Easter break as we approach the public examination period in school.

This morning, we held our Easter whole school assembly, led by Year 10. During our time together, we reflected on the Easter message, and our readers delivered their Bible readings with excellent clarity despite microphone issues. Di iawn to Lola, Luke, and Alice for their superb readings! Additionally, our closing musical item was a highlight. Aerona (Year 11), Dylan, Ael, Louis, and Ben (Year 10) played a fantastic rendition of ‘Valerie,’ which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in the sports hall.

We wish all the very best to our Year 10 students departing for their school ski trip to Italy today at lunchtime. We look forward to hearing all your stories when we update parents after Easter.

School has been busy this week. We want to particularly thank Erin and Maya (both Year 7) for their excellent musical performance during our Year 7 Assembly. Performances like these encourage students to participate in our main school assemblies, upper/lower school assemblies, or one of our school concerts in the future.

Continuing with our congratulations, ardderchog to Rhiannon, Eva, and Bella from Year 7. They competed in the Swim Conwy Spring Meet in Llandudno last weekend and achieved impressive personal bests over the two days.

A big di iawn is also due to our Under 13s boys rugby team, who played in the Clwyd Cup this week and performed to a very high standard. We have high hopes for you in the future!

We would like to give advance notice that CAFA will hold a quiz night for the whole family on Friday, 19th April. The doors will open at 6.30pm, with a small bar and refreshments available throughout the evening. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible! Please see this link for further details, including payment information.

We will all return to school on Monday, 8th April to begin our summer term.

We wish you all a very happy Easter and hope that students can enjoy the break while still engaging in revision.

See you back here soon for the next School Blog!
