We have ended a busy but very productive half term with Achievement Ceremonies for Year 11 and Year 13.

Thank you so much to all parents and carers who joined us for these events. On Thursday we were blessed with wonderful weather and Year 13 left us in style, having enjoyed the message brought by Annelies Goyarts who is Vice President of Securities Services and Issuer Operations at Institutional Client Group and Mr. Kevin Davies’ light-hearted leadership of the occasion. Our guest speaker at the Year 11 Ceremony today was Mr. David Goodchild, former Learning Manager for Humanities at Castell Alun, who also did a wonderful job of inspiring our students.

Once again we have had considerable success on the tennis court this week, with Reuben and Josh (both of Year 8) being winner and runner up respectively at the ‘Road to Wimbledon’ Boys’ event. In further sporting news, a number of our lower school students are really excited about their Sports Tour to Barcelona during the half term holiday. We are sure they will have a great deal of fun and we wish them all the best for the week.

As you have probably heard, General Data Protection Regulations have now been updated nationally. As such, we have now amended our Privacy Notice and added this to the school website here.

We will also publish further relevant policy statements in the near future. It is very important that we remain GDPR compliant in all we do, and thus we will contact you formally over the coming weeks in order to give you the opportunity to update contact details that we hold on record. However, should you wish to amend any details in the meantime, please be aware that you can do this through contact with the school office either by email, telephone, letter or in person.

It is essential that the school has your preferred email address and telephone numbers as, without these, it will be difficult to guarantee school communications arrive efficiently and payments you make to school are tracked effectively.

Thank you for your continuing support. I hope all members of the school community enjoy the half term break.
